The Government of India has setup the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) at NITI Aayog. Realising the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds, AIM proposes to support establishment of a network of Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL). ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills. The vision is to ‘Cultivate 1 Million children in India as Neoteric1 Innovators’.
Objectives
The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mind-set, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand what, how and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Features of Scheme
ATLs can be established in schools (minimum Grade VI – X) managed by Government, local body or private trusts/society Minimum 25% of the ATLs would be set up in schools managed by Government (Central / States)
The problem Statement- Farmers have a problem, whenever they want to feed water to the crop, they need to visit the field to turn on the motor and turn off the motor. The minimum distance from home to field is about 2-3 kilometers. Sometimes farmer have to visit in night. In night many dangerous insects, snakes etc. are there. It is very risky to visit fields in nights and turn on and off the motor. Why they are visiting again and again to the field for turn off and turn on the motor of tube well because of here we have power supply cut from government time to time, mostly in the peak season. We talked with farmer they want a solution, so that they can Control their tube well motor from a remote location that will be their home. Also, they need a solution they can purchase one time, they don’t want a product with recurring cost per month or per year. They said product must be lowest price as possible. So that they can afford that system. Also, they want to know some parameter of the field like temperature, soil moisture, humidity etc. they need a solution that can helps them to know what is the status of the field.
The solution -So after getting a lot of requirements for this problem we will build a solution for the farmers. The solution name will be SMART-AGRO.As name suggest it will help farmers for their fields related problem.PF the diagram below.In below diagram we have a solution architect for this problem. In this diagram we will explain each and every point separately.
